Media/ PR Program
MCS provided extensive PR support for the large scale Australian International Film Festival (AIFF). With 243 films screening over ten days, MCS did various pre-publicity and worked closely with festival media partners, Melbourne's Herald Sun newspaper and Mix 101.1 FM radio station to gain maximum publicity for the event. Additional avenues included other mainstream media outlets, websites and pod-casts were utilised to promote the event.
MCS held an exclusive and intimate media preview in the Hoyts Melbourne Central (location for the entire AIFF), in the Directors Suite. Invitations to this event were in the form of an extra-large fresh box of popcorn, sent directly from Hoyts alongside an invitation detailing the media preview event. The preview itself entailed a fully catered function, where attendees were given media kits and the chance to spend time with festival organisers and industry figures. They were then treated to a preview of festival highlights in a 23 seat cinema.
MCS co-ordinated an invitation list for a 500 plus scale opening night event, combining media, industry figures, and VIP's. MCS single handily received the RSVP's for this event, creating an extensive database to track all attendees, and obtained their contact details for confirmation. MCS managed media attendance and placement, alongside all red carpet arrivals. MCS directed photography and identified VIP's to the media. MCS was also involved in an organisational capacity in the event after-party at Hush Bar Melbourne Central, continually assisting media to ensure optimum coverage for the event.
MCS organised media accreditation for the event, seeking and inviting valuable members of the media to receive an all-access pass to screenings throughout the festival.
